Discovery Time Preschool was founded in Westmount more than 25 years ago. We provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for children of all backgrounds.

We are a non-profit program of the Westmount Community League licensed with Alberta Children and Youth Services (through the regional Child and Family Service Authority). We are a parent-led cooperative; the success of the school depends on parents' commitment and dedication throughout the year.

Discovery Time practices a "learning through play" philosophy.  Under the guidance of our teachers, children engage in playful learning activities that enhance their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development. The program builds a firm foundation for success in later school years.

At Discovery Time, your child will learn how to: 

• express thoughts, feelings and ideas;

• manage his/her behaviour in a group setting;

• cooperate, compromise, and show empathy;

• become more independent; and

• form lasting friendships.
